Community Outreach – Cub Foods, Minnetonka
We believe it’s important to chat with people in our district! We are looking for volunteers to help out.
Cub Foods in Minnetonka kindly is allowing us to set up a table outside next to their Hot Dog Stand any Friday – Sunday 10:00am – 6:00pm.
We have materials for you to share, we just need your commitment. It is very easy…
Here’s a sample script for what that can look like:
Who are you/what’s this about?
–“Our group formed after the election, and there are many people in this district concerned about the direction of our country.”
What do you do?
–“We encourage people to get involved, to learn about political issues and legislation and to contact their representatives about the issues that matter to them.”
–“We provide educational events and guidance for calling our representative. Do you live in this district? Well, if you do, your representative is the same as mine, Erik Paulsen.”
What are you asking of me?
–“If you follow us on FB, or subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you updates about our educational events and issues to contact your representative about.”
Please contact Sarah Eigenmann, Events Coordinator via Messenger or email firstname.lastname@example.org

Representative On The Record
When our Congressman is pressed to explain why he doesn’t hold town halls, he says he already listens to all of his constituents. These after hours meetings are documented in his photo ops, and all are off the record.
A Town Hall is about more than listening – it is intended to be a conversation. The other half of a public town hall involves our Representative speaking for the record. With office staff unable or unwilling to answer most questions about where he stands on issues of the day or how he plans to vote, and without persistent press and media attention, his opinions are unavailable to us.
Those constituents who’ve been lucky enough to attend a meeting with our Congressman want to share the answers they have received with their neighbors in the 3rd District. In this way we can have Paulsen go “on the record”, sharing what he’s said behind closed doors. Please join us to listen and share in this public forum! We plan to stream live for commentary too.
Free and open to the public. Desserts provided – not available for Livestream viewers.
TIME: Tuesday, October 17th from 7 – 8:30 PM
